A modern-day well-side chat, open-mic stage, and storytelling community space

Welcome to DISC Unlimited

We believe that everyone has a story worth telling, and we're committed to providing a platform for diverse voices.

Whether you're a seasoned performer or a beginner, our stage is open to all.

Verbal Storytelling

We're looking for stories told through the spoken word, either true personal tales or traditional tales. If you're a writer, poet, or wordsmith, we want to hear from you. Our only requirement is that you have a genuine story to share within the time slot.

Guiding Principles

  1. Authenticity: Share a genuine story/experience. We value honesty and vulnerability.

  2. Respect: Treat your fellow storytellers, audience members, and the art of storytelling with respect and kindness.

  3. Inclusivity: Our stage is open to all ages, backgrounds, and styles. We strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.

  4. Storycraft: We encourage you to craft your story with care, considering pacing, tone, and audience engagement.

  5. Time: Respect the 8-minute time limit, allowing others to share their stories as well.

Tips for Telling Your Story

  • Start with a strong, personal connection to your story

  • Use descriptive language to bring your story to life

  • Practice your timing and pacing

  • Be mindful of your audience and adapt your tone accordingly

  • Take risks and be vulnerable – it's where the best stories come from!

Other Art Forms

If you're a musician, dancer, or artist from another discipline, we'd love to feature your work in a different way. Please contact us to discuss how we can incorporate your art form into our events, such as through performances or exhibitions.

Get Ready to Share Your Story

Join our pre-event workshops to hone your storytelling skills, whether you're a beginner or an experienced performer. Our stage is waiting for you!

DISC Unlimited FINAL

DISC Unlimited FINAL will take the form of a short training and an opportunity to share your work onstage in May onwards.
The short training will be a 4x a few hours sessions, plus mentorship.
There would be a discount price for the international participants with BIPOC background.
